Celeste and Marie wanted a wedding that felt outside of time — formal, warm, and lit entirely by candle. The William Aiken House, with its courtyard and parlors, gave us the bones of a winter evening you could step into and never want to leave.
We kept the palette to champagne, bone, and gold-foil, and let texture carry the design: pleated linen, antique silver, hand-calligraphed menus, and hundreds of tapers in mismatched brass. White garden roses and amaryllis brought the only softness against all that candlelight.

“Every candle, every place card, every minute of the evening had clearly been loved over. It felt like it was made only for us.”Marie, the bride
A string quartet played the ceremony in the courtyard; dinner moved indoors as the temperature dropped. The night closed with a champagne tower and a quiet last dance in the parlor — exactly the kind of evening they’d hoped would feel like it could have happened in any beautiful century.
