Amelia and Jonah came to us with a single image: the Avenue of Oaks at Boone Hall, lit gold an hour before sunset. Everything else — the design, the menu, the music — we built outward from that one feeling of being held under hundred-year-old trees.
The design leaned into abundance. We ran a single hundred-foot table down the lawn, dressed it in gathered garden roses, ranunculus, and trailing greenery, and lit the whole length with two hundred tapers. The palette stayed soft — ivory and sage with a single thread of candle-gold — so the oaks and the light could do the talking.

“They held the entire weekend so gently that, on the day, the only thing left for us to do was fall in love all over again.”Amelia, the bride
A nine-piece band carried the night. We timed the first dance to the last of the daylight, set the cake beside the oldest oak, and sent everyone home through a corridor of sparklers. It was, as Amelia put it, a Sunday dinner that simply refused to end.
